What Does the HVAC System Assessment Look At?

The Top Level Comfort HVAC System Assessment is a free, guided questionnaire that helps homeowners understand a practical next step for their heating and cooling system. You answer simple questions about your home and system, and based on your answers we suggest a sensible path such as preventative maintenance or a focused evaluation—not a sales pitch for replacement. The assessment looks at the following topics:

  • Approximate age of your home and HVAC system
  • Whether the system has been replaced since the home was built
  • How consistently air filters are changed
  • Whole-home comfort versus uneven rooms
  • Unusual equipment noises
  • History of major component repairs when relevant

Depending on system age and what you report about comfort and equipment, recommendations may include an Essential Preventative Maintenance Program, a Preferred Maintenance Program, a Duct Evaluation, a Home Evaluation, a Diagnostic Evaluation, or a System Evaluation. If filter changes are hard to keep up with, Comfort Club may also be mentioned as a secondary tip. The online assessment does not diagnose equipment problems and does not provide pricing; it points you toward a helpful next step.
